And dominance in Overwatch is one of the best feelings in the world. This game can be even more fun if you use a better graphics card for Overwatch.

With this 8GB V-RAM you can play Overwatch in the resolution you want! Well, 5,000, but it’s actually almost perfect. The memory bus is 256 bits, which is pretty good, and you also get hours of effective 8000 MHz memory. In addition, the memory type is now the standard DDR5, which is likely to be compatible with any new motherboard.

The middle clock is slightly lower than the memory clock. So with the Sapphire Radeon Pulse RX 580, you get an increased engine clock of 1366 MHz. Let’s start with the memories, shall we? You will be a little disappointed that this GPU only has 4GB of V-RAM. Don’t get me wrong, 4 GB is great and perfectly suited for games, especially Overwatch! But the card above has twice as much V-RAM, which is even better. The memory clock is 7008 MHz, the memory bit width is 128 bits, and the memory bandwidth is 112 GB/sec. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the memory type is now the default GDDR5. Pretty good memory, actually.

The speed of the core is significantly better than the Radeon pulse. With a base clock of 1379 MHz, which can be increased to 1493 MHz, you can expect fast response from this GPU. The number of CUDA cores is 768, which means that a large number of processes are running simultaneously.

Communications: The bus type is PCIe 3.0 standard and occupies a slot on the motherboard. It has one HDMI port, one DisplayPort and one dual-link DVI port. So there are three ways to select or use them at the same time. DisplayPort offers a digital resolution up to 7680×4320! Unbelievable for the price! However, in an efficient game with at least 60 frames per second, this quality will be much lower.

Cooling is also an important issue, as both fans are efficient and powerful, but sometimes a bit noisy when testing this card. These functions do not require much power, so the power consumption is 75 W and you should have a power supply of at least 300 W. It is extremely power efficient, like everything else about this GPU.

The 6 GB size is followed by an 8002 MHz memory clock. It’s probably the most you’ll get in this price range. The memory type is the modern GDDR5, which is associated with most modern motherboards. It has a 192-bit memory bus, which is not unusual, but 128- and 256-bit buses are more common. If the 256-bit memory bus is excellent, then you probably know that 192 bits is very good.

One of the many impressive features of this GPU is without a doubt its speed! A base clock frequency of 1830 MHz is impressive indeed. And it’s almost impossible to get that kind of clock speed with such a cheap GPU. You can play Overwatch and not feel any hiccups in responsiveness. And you already know how important that is. Of course, the number of 1408 CUDA cores only adds to the fun. This combination allows for pure hedonism in the game.

When I said speed was one of the many impressive features, I was thinking about connectivity and cooling. Let’s start with the connection. First, I would like to point out that the PCI-E 3.0 bus is now a standard. But I’ve been thinking about the ports. Although you only have two options, one HDMI 2.0b and three DisplayPort 1.4, these four options can be used simultaneously and in very high definition. Used together as four displays, they can reach a maximum digital resolution of 7680×4320. Used separately, i.e. with only one connection, you can easily reach 2K.

It’s not every day you see something like this for a cooling system. With two fans spinning in different directions (alternating rotation), you get more cooling power than usual. It’s called the Windforce system, and it’s just as powerful as its name suggests. Anyway, to be honest, he can be a bit noisy.

Our next recommendation is the ASUS GeForce GTX 1060! A monster of absolute speed when it comes to graphics cards in this price range! Although the V-RAM is slightly lower than the other three cards, the speed compensates for that.

As for memory, it should be noted that this GPU has only 3 GB of V-RAM. The difference in detail between 3GB and 4GB is sometimes very noticeable. As a result, the quality of your photo may not be as perfect as you had hoped. But it’s still good. But the memory clock runs at 8008 MHz (ultra fast), and the memory interface is 192 bits! In addition, the memory type is GDDR5, very modern. There is also another version with 6 GB RAM. So if 3 GB V-RAM is not enough, you can buy the 6 GB version.

So, real speed! This clock uses a base frequency of 1594 MHz for the GPU engine, which can be overclocked to 1809 MHz! The game mode also comes pretty close to this speed with 1785 MHz! This overclocking is done in one click with Tweak II. The number of CUDA cores is 1152 – more than enough for Overwatch!

The standard PCI Express 3.0 bus, and this beauty has five output ports! One DVI-D, two HDMI 2.0 and two DisplayPort 1.4. So five options, four of which can be used simultaneously! Connect your GPU to four displays via two HDMI and two DisplayPort, and you get a great overwatch. Even better with VR!

I’m adding another GTX 1050 Ti, but this time it’s from MSI. This popular NVIDIA GPU has been produced by several companies to date. The popularity says a lot about this card.

As you can see, this card has the same name as the previous one, hence the similarity of the features. Includes 4 GB GDDR5 memory, 128-bit memory width and 7008 MHz memory speed. It can be overclocked by another 100 MHz. It’s not much, but it’s still an improvement.

The speed of the core is again very good. You go from 1392 in silent mode to 1493 MHz in locked mode. The game mode is something in between. The kernel also includes 768 processing modules. The GPU is ideal for playing Overwatch in HQ mode at a minimum of 60 frames per second.

It uses the PCI Express x16 3.0 interface and has several outputs. There is a choice of DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and dual-link DVI-D. All three can be used simultaneously for multi-screen gaming. The maximum resolution for a single screen is 2560×1600, and the maximum digital resolution is 7680×4320. So if you’re brave enough, playing Overwatch on three screens will be awesome!

What’s also nice is that this GPU consumes 75 watts, which means that a single power supply of around 300 watts would be sufficient. So the GPU will probably last longer. Moreover, the dual cooling system ensures that this GPU does not overheat. Message: Severe overloading can lead to overheating.

How to buy GPUs for Overwatch Important factors

Finding the best GPU for Overwatch is easy enough. Just familiarize yourself with the minimum requirements of the GPU exam criteria and choose something above them. The better your GPU performs, the better your performance! And, of course, satisfaction. Here are some things you should look out for as well.

Game power:

As a gamer, you obviously want your GPU to perform well enough to play all the available games in their best quality. Going for the best means spending a lot of money, as some monstrous GPUs cost upwards of $1,000.

Fortunately, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to play Overwatch at HQ. At the very least you can use GPUs like the Radeon 4850, GeForce GTX460 or even some integrated cards. The best will give you great performance – the gtx 950, for example, will work very well with the survivor. Just figure out how much money you’re willing to spend and how good your game performance is, and that’s it. Pay particular attention to V-RAM and clock speed when buying a GPU for Overwatch.

Video RAM:

As mentioned earlier, this acronym stands for Video Random Access Memory. It’s basically like RAM, but for the GPU. This is memory for graphics processes – the more memory you have, the better the image quality. If you play very complex games with lots of details, you need as much V-RAM as possible.

A GPU with at least 2 GB of V-RAM is recommended for Overwatch. In my list you will find a GPU of 2 GB, one of 3, two of 4 and one of 8! Whatever you choose is the right choice, but it is recommended to go as high as possible.

Hourly wage:

The other side of the coin for excellent playability. If V-RAM’s job is picture quality, then this thing’s job is to keep it at a good pace. Clock speed is the speed at which your graphics processor processes information. The higher the clock speed, the faster your GPU processes information, resulting in better frame rates and lower latency.

For Overwatch, this is probably more important than high V-RAM. Yes, nice details are always nice, but in this high speed game, a good clock speed is a must. At least 980 MHz is recommended, but my suggestions certainly go much further than that. Don’t be satisfied with what is offered!

Cooling system:

Games will always tax your GPU, causing it to overheat. Especially if you want to play for hours and get as many achievements as possible. Overheating is obviously a bad thing and can shorten the life of your GPU, or worse!

A good GPU cooling system to play Overwatch is a must! Those GPU samples I mentioned earlier have sick cooling systems like liquid nitrogen cooling or water cooling. If you can afford it, don’t hesitate. Otherwise, choose GPUs with powerful fans. You can find cards with one, two and sometimes three fans. If you buy, make sure they are strong and powerful!


It’s like cooling; power consumption is also very important to keep your GPU alive. The better the GPU performs, the more power it will draw from your PSU (power supply). Again: If you have a lot of money, buy a good power supply that has more than enough power for every part of your PC – and more than enough! If you can’t (or don’t want to) spend much, 300-500 watts is more than enough.

When buying a graphics card, always pay attention to the recommended power consumption and power supply. Fortunately, Overwatch doesn’t require a monstrous GPU. If you buy any of the cards on my list, a standard 500W power supply will suffice.
